What is KECC?

The Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign (KECC), established in 1993, is a unique opportunity for Kentucky state employees to donate to the charity of their choice through the convenience of payroll deduction. The KECC is endorsed by Governor Ernie Fletcher and is chaired this year by Major General Donald C. Storm, Adjutant General for Kentucky. The KECC is supported and planned each year by state employees, the participating charities, and the Personnel Cabinet.

The KECC consists of six charities, all of which are federations existing throughout Kentucky. The participating charities are: Christian Appalachian Project, Community Health Charities of Kentucky, Easter Seals Kentucky, Prevent Child Abuse-Kentucky, United Way of Kentucky, and WHAS Crusade for Children. Since 1993, the KECC has provided the opportunity for state employees to contribute to eligible charitable organizations through the state’s payroll deduction process. It is a campaign created by state employees and run by state employees. The campaign raised more than $1.33 million in 2006 to help build a better Kentucky!
